Yongzhong Wire Mesh Co., Ltd. has been a family-run business since its founding in 1992, carrying forward a legacy deeply rooted in China’s industrial development.
The company’s origins can be traced back to the late 1970s and early 1980s, when township enterprises rapidly emerged across China. In response to the booming demand driven by the early stages of economic reform and opening up, the government of Zhangguzhuang Town in Xinji City initiated the establishment of the Huaxia Window Screen Factory in 1980. The factory officially began production in 1982. However, due to structural and managerial challenges, the factory struggled during the nationwide restructuring of township enterprises between 1989 and 1991, eventually leading to its transfer.
Recognizing the future potential of wire products, Mr. Wang Bingyan, the founder of Yongzhong, seized this opportunity. He acquired part of the Huaxia facility and its equipment, and established Yongxing Wire Drawing Plant in 1992. From the beginning, Mr. Wang was committed to producing the highest quality wire on the market. His vision emphasized a relentless pursuit of improvement and a deep understanding of customer needs.
Over the years, the company has accumulated a wealth of data through meticulous research on steel grades, annealing times, and the micro-composition of raw materials. This has enabled precise control over wire strength, ductility, and quality. While not always the lowest-priced supplier, Yongzhong has earned the long-term trust of its customers through consistent quality, and now holds a significant share in the construction and mesh wire markets, gaining a strong reputation both domestically and internationally.
During the Asian financial crisis in 1997, China’s exports declined sharply, leading to economic slowdown and deflation. Yongxing faced unprecedented challenges. To adapt, the company introduced galvanized wire products, enhancing added value and expanding its market reach. Thanks to the collective efforts of the team, the business survived the downturn and entered a new phase of growth around the year 2000. This period also saw substantial upgrades to aging facilities and equipment.
In 2002, Mr. Wang’s son, Wang Da, joined the company, starting from the shop floor as a wire-drawing worker. Over the years, he gained hands-on experience in various roles, including annealing, equipment maintenance, galvanizing, and lab testing. This comprehensive understanding of operations revealed both technical insights and areas for improvement. In 2005, he was tasked with leading a major new project — a modern continuous production line integrating annealing and galvanizing processes. Completed successfully in 2006, the project included market development and sales channels, laying a strong foundation for future initiatives.
Mr. Wang Bingyan retired in 2012, passing the role of CEO to Wang Da. Upholding the founding principle of product excellence, Wang Da formed an international sales team and rebranded the company as Yongzhong Wire Mesh Co., Ltd. In 2013, the company secured its first overseas order, which was successfully delivered with high customer satisfaction. This marked the beginning of a rapid international expansion, and by 2019, Yongzhong products had reached over 30 countries.
The outbreak of COVID-19 in 2019 brought another major challenge, forcing nearly a year-long factory shutdown. However, the company adapted quickly by shifting sales online and focusing on new product categories, enabling it to weather the storm. Yongzhong continues its journey, evolving toward a more diversified and higher-end manufacturing model.
